Covering the significance of the Fall of Rome to the Renaissance
Grades 6-8
This is a unique history and critical thinking class designed for homeschooled students. The class teaches classical history through historical analysis, research, multimedia, and Socratic discussion. Students will first learn the tools of the historian and then apply them. The students will use the book, World History Detective by John De Gree, which includes geographical maps, timelines, and concept maps. This book is designed to develop critical thinking skills in lessons that teach the roles that technology, power, institutions, ideas, and trade played in shaping history.
